It is used for levelling uneven surfaces of wood, concrete, plaster, etc. The substrate must be dry, clean and degreased. The sealant is applied with a trowel, drying time is about 2 hours. The dried layer can be easily sanded. Can be diluted with Water as needed.
Application temperature:
The temperature of the material, the environment and the substrate must be between +5 and +30 °C (preferably +8 and +25 °C) during application and within 24 hours (preferably 48 hours) after application.
Example of application procedure:
- cover windows, radiators, door frames, etc.
- before applying the sealant, it is necessary to remove any dry mass from the sealant package.
- layers of old coatings with insufficient adhesion must be removed, e.g. by scraping.
- apply a primer. For low-absorbing and/or extremely smooth substrates (plasterboard, plaster squeegees, cement-polymer squeegees, etc.), the impregnating coating is carried out with the UP-GRUND penetrating agent, for more absorbent substrates (lime or lime-cement plaster, masonry, etc.) A-GRUND, 100-GRUND or AT-GRUND according to the instructions for use.
- after the primer has dried completely, TMEL ACRYLATE is applied with a stainless steel trowel (small areas with a steel spatula). Recommended thickness of one layer is 1 mm, max. the permissible thickness of one layer is 2 mm.
- the sealant is left to dry until completely dry (approx. 4 to 24 hours or even longer, drying time is strongly dependent on the thickness of the layers, substrate specificity, temperature and humidity).
- after drying, it is advisable to sand the cemented areas with an abrasive grid or a fine emery cloth with a firm backing.
- if necessary, the sealant can be applied in additional layers and always re-sanded after drying. The total thickness of the layers should not exceed 4 mm to avoid the risk of cracking.
- after sanding, it is necessary to remove any dust from the sanded surfaces.
- work equipment and contaminated areas are washed immediately with Water.
- before painting, it is recommended to re-penetrate the cemented areas, e.g. uP-GRUND, AGRUND, AT-GRUND or 100-GRUND.
- then dispersion coatings can be applied to the surfaces, e.g. products from the KLASIK, HETLINE or BRILLANT series. It is not advisable to use lime coatings or coatings without sufficient dispersion binder content on cemented surfaces.
