How to use Aromalamps correctly
An Aromalamp is most often a ceramic, but sometimes also glass or metal container that has a space for a candle in the bottom and a container for vaporization above it. After lighting the candle, the container is filled with 40-50 °C warm Water and a few drops of the chosen essential oil or essential oil blend are added to the Water. This is the principle of evaporation by open fire. Although it is not the only use of aromatherapy, it is definitely the most well-known. In addition to releasing a pleasant aroma, it also brings very pleasant sensations from the sight of a burning candle, which enhance the comfort and warm atmosphere of the home.

When choosing an aromatherapy machine, apart from the appearance, we should also take into account the technical parameters. The tea light candle used in aromalamps usually burns for 4 - 5 hours, so it is necessary to choose a type of aromalamp with a sufficiently large tank in which the Water does not evaporate even after the candle burns out. If you buy a lamp with a small tank (unfortunately, most of them are on the market), instead of smell, you get a smell - the Water evaporates before the candle burns out, the tank overheats and the residue of essential oils burns. The container should also be far enough away from the candle to prevent the Water from boiling; boiling Water would completely negate the natural effects of the essential oils.

The correct doSage of essential oils into the aroma lamp is very important. As in many other cases, less is more. As a rule, 1-2 drops per 5 m2 of space is sufficient. In general, we have a tendency to overdose. This error is also due to the fact that after about 15 minutes we stop perceiving smells. We feel the scent has worn off and keep adding essential oils. In this respect, it is good to follow nature, for example, when in the forest, the intensity of the scent is also on the threshold of perception, but it still has an effect.

After each use, it is recommended to wash the aroma lamp with soap and finally rinse with vinegar diluted with Water in a ratio of 1:4, which will prevent limescale build-up.

A burning aromatherapy lamp should be placed in a safe place out of the reach of children and should not be left unattended. In children's rooms, hospitals and other areas where it is not suitable to use an open fire, an electric version of the aromatherapy lamp, diffuser or other method of vaporization can be chosen.
