Apply a sufficient amount to dry skin before exposure to the sun and spread. 36 g of sunscreen, i.e. approximately 6 teaspoons, is needed to protect the skin of the entire body of an average-sized adult.
Reducing the recommended amount will significantly reduce the degree of protection. Do not stay in the sun too long, even if you have used a sunscreen. Avoid direct midday sun (10am - 4pm) in particular. Do not expose infants and young children to direct sunlight. Excessive exposure to the sun poses a serious health risk. Repeat application to maintain protection, especially when sweating, after bathing or towel drying. No sunscreen provides 100% protection against sunlight.
