Apply a thin layer of ointment to your baby'sclean, dry skin at each change of clothes, both to soothe irritated areas and to prevent diaper rash. When breastfeeding, apply the ointment to a piece of sterile gauze and rub gently on and around the nipple. Apply the ointment to inflamed or irritated skin 1-3 times a day until it is completely healed. If the discomfort does not subside within 7 days, consult your doctor.
