It is one of the best known ornamental plants. They decorate our windows inside and outside, they are both indoor and garden flowers. They look good in window boxes, but also directly in flowerbeds. There is an incredible variety of outdoor begonias and everyone can choose a different type of flower and petals. Yet they do not require any great care.

Recently, begonias, native to the tropics and subtropics and much loved by our grandmothers, are making a well-deserved comeback in the shady plantings of our parks, cities and gardens. Abundantly flowering begonias can brighten up darker areas where other flowers are a problem. begonia is a genus of plants in the Begoniacae family and there are nearly a thousand species. The range often varies according to trends, but is generally divided into small-flowered and large-flowered by flower size, and fibrous and fleshy-rooted begonias by root

The overhanging begonia , a hybrid cultivar of the tuberous begonia, has been very popular in recent years. The overhanging part is up to 50 cm long with beautiful small pinkish-white flowers and is best propagated by seeds. These colourful beauties are typically balcony plants, but growing them anywhere else is of course not out of the question. In a box, their garlands make a great show, just watch out for direct sunlight, which is not good for them. Therefore, orient the boxes to the north or east side of the house.Overhanging begonias are a bit thirstier, so they do well in self-Watering containers. Regular fertilisation will be rewarded with a profusion of flowers.

Keep locked and out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately and show this container or label.Use biocides in a safe way. Always read the label and product information before use.
