Geranium is a perennial plant. It is propagated by cuttings, which is often done in August or commonly from July to October, but also successfully in early spring (February-March). The cultivated species of geranium usually bloom from May to September, but some species bloom all year round. For overwintering, a bright frost-free room is suitable. The soils should be nutrient-rich, humus, and rather permeable; geraniums do not tolerate waterlogging
