Before applying the ointment to the skin, it is recommended to wash the affected area with soap-free Water and dry it well. The ointment is applied in a thin layer on the skin so as not to clog the pores. Use the calendula ointment 2-3 times a day (or as needed), gently rubbing it into the skin for 2 to 3 minutes.
Literally anyone can use calendula ointment: this ointment is suitable for dry skin as well as normal and sensitive skin.
Proper application of ointments helps to increase their subsequent effect.
Marigold ointment has excellent protective, soothing, regenerating and granulation effects on the skin thanks to its content of active plant Extracts. The ointment can be used as a masSage agent. Regular masSage from the ankles towards the knees has a beneficial effect on the blood vessels of the lower limbs.
Marigold ointment also helps with skin care (e.g. for sunburn, eczema or other skin problems). It is excellent in case of hard skin - it tightens the skin very effectively. Marigold ointment can also be used to care for post-operative scars and stumps.
The herbal basis of calendula ointment is Calendula officinalis, which originates from the Mediterranean and is grown as an ornamental (but also medicinal) plant throughout Europe. The flower is used in herbalism as whole flowers as well as stems and leaves. Usually this herb is harvested from early summer to late autumn.
Marigold contains valuable medicinal substances: essential oils, silicic acid, fats, waxes, saponins, flavonoids, bitter substances, resins, mucilages, organic acids and partly vitamin C. The active substances include yellow and red carotenoid dyes that dissolve well in fats. The aggregate of these medicinal substances has a disinfecting, anti-inflammatory effect and helps very well in the healing of damaged tissue.
Theointment base is purified pork fat (Extracted with hot steam). It is similar in composition to human fat and is very well absorbed into the skin. Pork fat is a quality carrier of medicinal substances contained in Herbs. And although various synthetic substances are widely used today, nothing can yet replace quality lard in ointments.
Marigold ointment also contains genuine Beeswax, which has excellent protective and moisturizing properties and which enhances the resulting quality of the ointment.
It is recommended to store calendula ointment at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.
