NEUDORFF Ferramol - the slug control agent is a granulated bait against all types of slugs and snails. After ingesting the granules, the slugs retreat feeling sated to their underground hiding places, where they die, thus eliminating the need to collect dead slugs. There is no excessive slime production in slugs, keeping the surface of the beds clean. If accidentally ingested, it poses no danger to pets or other animals and beneficial organisms.
Action and use of the product:
Ferramol is highly dangerous only to slugs. Its active ingredient is Ferric phosphate, which is a compound of phosphorus and iron commonly found in the wild. The granules lure them out of their hiding places and are so attractive that they immediately start consuming them. Shortly after ingesting the bait, the slugs stop eating due to the feeling of fullness, so the plants are spared from further grazing in a short time. The slugs retreat back to their underground hiding places and die there. Upon the death of slugs, there is no excessive and repulsive slime production, therefore the surface of the beds remains clean (unlike other similar products). It is also unnecessary to collect dead slugs, as they die in their underground hiding places. The effectiveness of Ferramol does not decrease during rain or wet weather, when slugs are most active. Due to moisture, the granules swell and become even more attractive to slugs. In dry conditions, the granules return to their original size. Even after repeated swelling, the granules do not disintegrate and retain their effectiveness.
Application note:
If by the next morning the bait granules are gone, it means that the slugs have consumed them, and the application needs to be repeated. This will target further slugs that may come from the surrounding area to the treated area.
