7 Unexpected Ways to Use a Dish Sponge

1. Wrinkles gone
You've probably got a sweater that's past its prime, but fits so well you're willing to wear it until it's completely ripped. Try running a new coarse, dry sponge over the wrinkly areas a few times. The wrinkles will catch on the rough surface and the sweater will be as good as new. The advantage is that you don't risk damaging the sweater like you do when you remove them with a disposable razor or electric razor. 

2. Self-watering flowers
If you put a sponge at the bottom of the pot, your flowers will stay watered longer. You can pour more water into the pot without overwatering the flower. The sponge draws it in and the flower only draws out as much water as it needs later.
