During the application of the product to the tick, the tick is immediately immobilized without triggering any defensive reactions of the tick.
- After unscrewing the cap, the opening of the Ixoderm tube is gently pressed up to the tick and 1-3 drops of the product are applied to the tick spontaneously, or by pressing the tube very gently, so that the tick is completely covered by the product.
- After about 2-5 minutes (depending on the amount of product used), the partially dried product is cleaned off and the tick is safely removed with tweezers placed as close as possible to the tick's legs, or by other suitable means. The movement during tick removal is rocking, not rotating.
- After the tick has been removed, 1 more drop of the product may be applied to the affected area.
- It is recommended to monitor the skin for 1 month to see if any redness appears on the skin where the tick was attached, which may gradually spread (in this case, a doctor should be consulted urgently).
