Tiger's Eye, a stone renowned for its yellow to yellow-brown colouring, which is also accompanied by a silky lustre, is therefore used for the production of exclusive figurines and jewellery due to its striking appearance. Its occurrence is limited to a few locations worldwide, the most famous of which is the Doorn Mountains in South Africa, from where we also obtain it. In terms of composition, it is a quartz permeated with parallel fibres of the so-called crocodolite asbestos, a fibrous variety of amphibole riebeckite.
