use

Disinfect the LadyCup before first use.

The ideal position for insertion/removal of the LadyCup is sitting/standing.
Squeeze the cup with your thumb and forefinger simultaneously and insert it into the vagina in a squatting position so that the entire lower edge of the cup is hidden in the vagina. A well-established cup is not felt in the body. Remove and empty the cup again after approximately 4 to 5 hours, but no later than 12 hours. During menstruation, it is not necessary to boil the cup repeatedly or wash it with soap, it is enough to rinse it with warm Water.

8 reasons to switch to a cup

  • It is better than tampons from a health point of view. Unlike a tampon, the cup cannot breed bacteria and is not impregnated with any cheMicals.
  • The cups are not associated with toxic shock syndrome.
  • The introduction of the cup is extremely simple. It is made of soft medical grade silicone and fits perfectly to the vagina.
  • Maintenance is very simple, just boil in Water for 5 minutes before menstruation.
  • The cup has a very long service life. With proper maintenance, it can last up to 15 years. So you don't have to buy pads and tampons over and over again and worry whEther you've brought enough.
  • The cup is much more environmentally friendly. Just imagine the amount of pads and tampons saved over many years.
  • The cup can be used for all activities including swimming and cycling. You don't even know you have it.
  • The cup is recommended for women who have problems with recurrent vaginal mycosis. It does not dry out the vaginal mucosa.

How to use the cup

  • It is best to try the insertion of the cup before the start of menstruation to find the optimal placement. If you are still unsure of the correct insertion, use a slip liner to be on the safe side.
  • It is best to introduce the cup while squatting. If you are introducing it before the start of your period, it is a good idea to moisten the cup. The introduction outside the menstrual period is much more difficult, the vaginal mucosa is not as blooded. Don't let this discourage you! :-)
  • Hold the cup between your thumb and forefinger and insert it into the vagina. No need to push. When the cup is all the way in the vagina, you can let go and it will open all the way. The insertion is no more complicated than inserting a tampon, so there is nothing to worry about.
  • To make sure you have inserted the cup correctly, grasp the stem and try to lift it up a little. If it does not work, the introduction was correct and the desired vacuum was created. If it could be pulled out easily, it probably didn't develop properly.
  • When removing, cancel the resulting vacuum by pressing the bottom of the cup. The cup can then be pulled out without any problems.
  • Empty the cup after about the same time as you would change a tampon. If you are inexperienced, we recommend emptying after about 4 hours. You will soon find that you can leave it in place longer. Empty it after no more than 12 hours. You can keep the cup in overnight.
  • If you have heavy periods, your cup may leak in the first few days. In this case, use the insert as a supplement.

How to care for the cup

  • The cup must be sterilized before menstruation. The best way is to let the cup boil in boiling Water for about 5 minutes. We recommend adding a teaspoon of Gaia Magic Touch powder to the Water.
  • When emptying during menstruation, just wash the cup with cool Water and reinsert it. It is advisable to carry a Water bottle in public toilets.
  • The cup can change colour over time, just as a baby pacifier does. It doesn't mean he's dirty.
  • The use of the cup is completely odourless. The unpleasant smell of menstrual blood is emitted only after contact with a pad or tampon, which are impregnated with various deodorants.

What is a good stopwatch for?
The stopwatch is actually a kind of safety device if you can't get the cup out. This usually happens in the beginning, when you are getting to know the cup and have not yet practiced removing it. Fear may also play a role, which will not allow you to relax and easily remove the cup. Don't be afraid of anything! Practice makes perfect, and that is true in this case as well.

Once you start using the cup repeatedly, you will find that you don't mind the stopper or don't really need it at all. You can shorten it to a length that suits you or cut it off completely. Just be careful not to damage the cup.

Remember that the most convenient way to remove the cup is by squeezing the bottom of the cup to release the vacuum.

Silicone and Animal Testing
What's the deal with silicone? Are animals being harmed because of the production of cups? At Econea.cz we deal with the issue of animal testing in great detail. The thing about medical silicone is that it has been tested, but decades ago and not for menstrual cups. Previously, such materials and substances had to be tested on a mandatory basis. Fortunately, today there are companies that no longer test silicone, simply because it has already been tested in the past. In our offer you will find menstrual cups from just such responsible brands.
