Limnoquartzite Troml pendant natural stone S, stone of the earth, purity and new beginnings

Limnoquartzite represents a freshwater siliceous rock composed of opal or a variety of quartz.

The name comes from the words limnic (lake, freshwater) and quartzite (siliceous rock). Their occurrence is related to the outflows of thermal waters. The offered stone is from Slovakia.

Uniqueness of the stone: Limnokvarcit is lined in brown shades. The coloration is caused by iron hydroxides, which are formed by the decomposition of microscopic grains of pyrite dispersed in the surrounding rock. The most beautiful Slovak limnoquartzites come from Banské in the Slanské Hills. Thanks to their color and structure, they acquire the character of a precious stone.
