Under the MOONSTONE, a.k.a. MOONSTONE, there is a milky, cloudy variety of Potassium feldspar adular (or.sanidine, more rarely also albite). It can be found especially in Sri Lanka, where it has become the national stone.
Uniqueness of the stone: the stone is unique for its subtle rocking sparkle, which is intensified by the correct orientation of the stone when cut. The fine layers of stone and internal inclusions cause a moon-like glow with a bluish effect.
Limitations: MOONSTONE resists some acids, we recommend consulting or proceeding as with the feldspar group.
