Wash and sterilize pacifiers thoroughly before first use and after each use. After the pacifier has cooled, squeeze out any remaining liquid. Sterilise using a NUK steam steriliser to ensure the soother remains hygienic. When sterilising with boiling water, make sure there is enough water to prevent damage to the pacifiers (5 minutes boiling time is sufficient). Do not wash pacifiers in the dishwasher, as cleaning agents can damage it.

Shelf life 4 years from the date of manufacture - see stamp (valid if the pacifier is stored in dry room temperature and protected from direct sunlight). Inspect the pacifier thoroughly before each use, especially if the baby already has teeth. Pull the pacifier in all directions. At the first sign of damage or weakening of the material, discard the pacifier. Never soak your pacifier in sugary substances or medicines, as this can cause tooth decay. If the pacifier gets blocked in the mouth, do not panic, it is not possible to swallow it. Two holes in the edge of the pacifier allow you to breathe without interruption. Pull it out of your mouth as gently as possible. Never attach uncertified ribbons or cords to a pacifier, as your baby may strangle on them. Do not leave the pacifier in direct sunlight, heat or disinfectant (sterilising solution) for longer than recommended, this could weaken the pacifier. For hygiene and safety reasons, replace the pacifier after 1-2 months of use.
