Wash and sterilize pacifiers thoroughly before first use and after each use. After the pacifier has cooled, squeeze out any remaining liquid. Sterilise using a NUK steam steriliser to ensure the soother remains hygienic. When sterilising with boiling water, make sure there is enough water to prevent damage to the pacifiers (5 minutes boiling time is sufficient).

Do not wash pacifiers in the dishwasher, as cleaning agents can damage it. Pacifiers are made of different materials that can be damaged when sterilised in microwave ovens. Different materials have different heat capacities. Shelf life 4 years from the date of manufacture - see stamp (valid if the pacifier is stored in dry room temperature and protected from direct sunlight). Inspect the pacifier thoroughly before each use, especially if the baby already has teeth. Pull the pacifier in all directions. At the first sign of damage or weakening of the material, discard the pacifier.
