RIOCATH Rectal Tube Pink Tube for the Rectum, First Aid for Tummy Pain

1. After removing it from the packaging, grasp the Riocath rectal tube by the teddy bear's head so that the teddy bear's ears are pointing downwards (the teddy bear's head is upside down).
2. In this position, place the Riocath rectal tube under running water so that the water flows into the gap between the thicker and thinner tube, just below the teddy's head.
3. Then grasp the head of the teddy bear with one hand and the thinner (flexible) tube with the flared end with the other hand. Push the tube in and out several times.
4. Place the infant on his/her back and massage the tummy briefly before inserting the rectal tube.
5. Hold the Riocath Rectal Tube in your hand, with your thumb resting on the flared end of the thinner (movable) tube and your index and middle fingers resting on the tabs of the teddy's head.
6. Hold the infant's feet up with one hand and with the other hand bring the Riocath rectal tube to the rectum with the hook. Slowly press the thumb to insert the tube into the rectum. You don't have to worry about how deep the tube is inserted, it extends a maximum of 2.5 cm, which is one of the important features of our Riocath rectal tube.
7. After insertion, wait for the infant to expel the accumulated gas through the tube.
8. Then grasp the rectal tube by the teddy bear's head with one hand and pull the thinner (movable) tube back to its original position with the other hand.

Recommended use
This is a medical device designed mainly for home use, its key part is a flexible tube which, by crossing the baby's rectal sphincter, inserts a few centimetres into the terminal segment of the infant's digestive tract, allowing the removal of accumulated gas causing colicky pain by overstretching the intestinal wall.

What to watch out for
After inserting the Riocath rectal tube into the infant's buttocks, do not twist it unnecessarily. When pulling it out, make sure that the thinner flexible tube is fully extended back to its base position.
