Spokar Sparta facade rollers for painting are designed for painting rough surfaces, mainly facades. It has flexible and strong padding (5 mm), which helps to eliminate surface irregularities. It is padded, with a padding thickness of 5 mm. The surface and fibers of the rollers are closely related to the paint you want to apply to the wall. For large areas, such as walls in an apartment, we prefer a roller that is not only larger but also with a longer pile height.
Polyacrylate - synthetic PAC:
We recommend polyacrylic rollers for use with interior and dispersion paints. The fibers of the painting roller are characterized by lower material quality but very good coverage per m². Polyacrylate has excellent resistance to light, weather, and microorganisms. Washing is only possible in lukewarm water. Its strength is lower than other synthetic fibers, but the roller has a lower tendency to pill. The most common rollers are made of polyacrylate. Professionals typically do not purchase them, as they do not have such durability, but they are sufficient for regular painting.
Pile height 18 mm:
For painting rollers, it applies that the finer the roller, the smoother the surface of the paint or coating, and at the same time also less paint absorbed on one dip. For large areas, such as walls in an apartment, we prefer a roller that is not only larger but also with a longer pile so that we can paint a larger area at once and reduce the number of joins that would need to be repaired. For rough surfaces (structured plaster or the first painting after stucco), choose a roller with an 18-millimeter pile and a so-called padding (about a five-millimeter layer of fabric glued to the body of the roller, which gives it flexibility on uneven surfaces).
