Shungite is an opaque black stone with a subtle or more pronounced metallic lustre that is growing in popularity around the world. It is a polymineral rock with a high carbon content. It takes its name from its place of occurrence - the Karelian village of Shunga on the shores of Lake Onega, where it was first discovered. It is attributed with the ability to purify water.
Limitations.
