- Open the battery cover.
- Pull out the red protective fuse that you will see behind the batteries.
- Close the battery cover - press it firmly back into place. Hold the dispenser over your palm. Slide the on/off switch to switch the dispenser on.
- Place the dispenser on the work surface. Insert the handwashing cartridge into the device with the cap downwards and snap it in.
- Place your hand under the nozzle and against the top of the sensor until dosing occurs. It may be necessary to repeat this procedure several times for the first use. Wash your hands normally.
When the soap cartridge is empty: switch off the dispenser. Remove the cartridge. Replace it with the Dettol touchless dispenser refill only. Turn on the dispenser.
Maintenance of your dispenser. Do not place the dispenser under running Water. Do not place the dispenser in the dishwasher. If the dispenser requires cleaning, turn it off and then wipe the dispenser with a damp, lint-free cloth. Dry it carefully. Ensure that the lens on the underside of the nozzle is free of any soap deposits, as this could activate the sensor. Do not place the dispenser in direct sunlight. Do not place the dispenser in standing Water.
Good hand washing technique
- Soak your hands under warm, clean running Water
- Apply a small amount of soap
- Rub your palms togEther (away from the Water stream)
- Wipe your fingers and the spaces between them
- Rub nails against palms
- Wipe the outside of the palms
- Rinse with clean running Water
- Dry hands with a clean towel or paper towel
Troubleshooting:
- If the dispenser cannot be switched on: check the orientation of the inserted batteries. If you insert the batteries correctly, the indicators on the front of the dispenser will flash for a few seconds, then when the device is switched on and ready for use, the indicators will go out.
- If the dispenser does not dispense soap correctly or does not dispense soap at all: Make sure you put your hands between the nozzle and the indicator (see diagram). Turn off the dispenser. Clean it as described in the "Dispenser Maintenance" section. If soap is released unintentionally, read the section "Maintaining the dispenser".
