Since the extract from the plant parts of lilac or its flowers does not exactly correspond to its well-known aroma, perfumers prepare this typical scent themselves by mixing jasmine, ylang-ylang, neroli oil, and vanilla. Lilac (Syringa L.) is a genus of shrubs and small trees in the olive family. The most famous is common lilac, which is often grown and commonly also naturalized in the Czech Republic. Osmanthus blooms beautifully in April and has an intoxicating fragrance. The white flowers in clusters are about half a centimeter long. It grows very slowly for the first three years but then forms compact bushes.
