A stone known as volcanic glass. It is formed by the rapid cooling of hot lava in Water on the surface of the Earth, the whole process happening so fast that the individual minerals do not have time to crystallise. OBSIDIAN flake is a real unique. It was born approximately 2.5 million years ago during a volcanic eruption in the Black Spring area of western Utah and is still only found in this location today. In terms of appearance, the "white snowflakes" of the mineral cristobalite stand out beautifully on its black base. In terms of composition, it is a natural form of Silicate glass.
