Ingredients

Alcohol, Aqua, Parfum, Ethyl linoleate, Glycerin, Alpha - Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Citronellol, Cloumarin, Hexyl Cinnmal, Limonene, Linalool.

Vitamin F is essential for the formation and function of cell membranes.

  • Itcontributes to the quality of our hair, nails and skin (it is effective in fighting acne).
  • It affects our energy, helps to lower cholesterol levels and thus prevents blood vessel clogging, protects the liver and reduces high blood pressure.
  • Overall, Vitamin F supports the immune system, prevents blood clots and prevents heart disease and stroke.

It regularly appeared under the Christmas tree or in many men's birthday cakes, probably not only because of its qualities, but also because the market did not offer more or only in limited quantities. For the older generation, "pitralon" is nowadays synonymous with any aftershave, regardless of whEther it says Adidas, Boss or Gilette on the bottle. the brand has also penetrated the vernacular as a well-established saying - about insistent individuals is said to "rub like a pit bull".

But let's go back to the history of the product and the brand. Although Pitralon was already produced during the First Republic, Setuza started producing aftershave with this name only in 1951 - at that time the state transferred to Setuza the rights to the trademarks of a confiscated German company from Podmokel, which, like Odol toothpaste, also produced Pitralon aftershave. The version from Setusa copied the original Pitralon in composition and packaging and only minor changes have been made to date, the base is still 75 percent alcohol, GLYCERINs, Water and perfume, the only modern enrichment is Vitamin E, which is generally beneficial to the skin.

It wasthe high alcohol content that led to the use of a completely different kind than the original intention - allegedly pitralon was flavoured with fruit vitacite (by the way - also a famous brand of its time) and thus became an improvised and available drink especially for soldiers of basic service.

Later, Pitralon shaving cream was also included in production, but Pitralon seemed to be disappearing - in the 1990s, Setuza made an experiment and launched an innovative Pitralon Sensitiv range for the younger generation. It didn't catch on, pitralon is simply a generational thing and is sought after by customers in their sixties and up - there is a huge inertia here.

However, today you can still order Pitralon F aftershave or foaming shaving cream enhanced with silicone oil in an online store, and where the world's top brands cost hundreds of crowns, the humble Pitralon can get by with a tenner. let's see if the invisible but working "hand of the market" will consign this aftershave to the dustbin of history and our children will no longer even understand the saying "it sticks out like a pit bull".
