Spraying with a solution of green copper vitriol (ferrous sulfate) is used to eliminate moss in lawns. Green copper vitriol, a moss control agent, is a fertilizer intended for supplementing plants during the growing season by spraying the solution on the leaves.
Green copper vitriol is a fertilizer intended for fertilizing strawberries, fruit trees and saplings, grapevines, conifers, and ornamental lawns. Green copper vitriol is a fast-acting fertilizer designed to supplement iron in plant nutrition during the growing season. Iron is an essential nutrient that affects chlorophyll production, growth, coloration, and the appearance of plants.
Iron deficiency manifests mainly in pome fruit, stone fruit, strawberries, and grapevines as local leaf yellowing, known as chlorosis (yellowing), leading to damage and reduced fruit yields. In ornamental lawns, deficiency manifests as damage to health, appearance, and the formation of undesirable mosses and lichens. These can be effectively removed by spraying a dissolved mixture of green copper vitriol with ammonium sulfate.
Disinfection:
Used for treating drinking, surface, and technological waters (most effective in alkaline pH areas) and for cleaning wastewater. Can also be used as a disinfectant for livestock hoof diseases.
Dyeing:
This substance provides colored compounds during reactions, which are utilized for dyeing. An organometallic compound with gallic acid was historically used as ink.
Against moss in lawns:
Dissolve, strain, and apply preferably with a chemical protection sprayer. It works excellently.
Use plant protection products safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
