Synthetic PES - polyester:
Polyester fibers are used to produce disposable rollers. It is the least quality material and its use is not recommended for applying quality interior paints. It is characterized by low yield on m². Polyester rollers with short or long piles are mainly used for water-soluble paints. High resistance to light, weather, and microorganisms. Natural polyester has been known since around 1830, the first synthetic polyester was used in World War I as an impregnating material. The fiber made from synthetic polyester was invented in England in 1941 and has been produced industrially since 1947.
