Spokar Plush Yellow-Green Facade Roller for Painting is designed for painting rough surfaces, mainly facades. It has flexible and thick padding (5 mm), which helps eliminate surface irregularities. It is padded, with a padding thickness of 5 mm. The surface and fibers of the roller are closely related to the paint that you want to apply to the wall. For large areas, such as walls in an apartment, we prefer a roller that is not only larger but also with longer pile (nap height).
Polyacrylic - synthetic PAC:
We recommend polyacrylic painting rollers for use with interior and dispersion paints. The fibers of the painting roller are typically of lower material quality, but very good yield per m². Polyacrylic has excellent resistance to light, weather, and microorganisms. Washing is only possible in lukewarm water. Strength is lower than other synthetic fibers, but the painting roller has a lower tendency to pilling because of that. The most common rollers are made of polyacrylic. Professionals do not typically purchase these, as they do not have the same durability, but they are sufficient for regular painting.
Nap height 18 mm:
For painting rollers, the rule is that the finer the roller, the smoother the paint surface or coating, and also the less paint absorbed in one dip. For large areas, such as walls in an apartment, we prefer a roller that is not only larger but also with a longer pile, so we can paint a larger area at once and thereby reduce the number of joints that would need repair. For a rough surface (textured plasters or for the first painting after plastering), choose a roller with an 18-millimeter nap and with so-called padding (about a five-millimeter layer of fabric glued to the body of the roller, which gives it flexibility on uneven surfaces).
