Oriental fragrance launched in 2014.
Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium is labeled as a rock'n'roll interpretation of a classic, which aims to highlight the dark and mysterious side of the Yves Saint Laurent brand. The surface of the Black Opium bottle resembles diamond powder, gently sparkling like a diamond in its raw state, yet even in that state its delicacy stands out.
Black Opium relies on a dissonance between white flowers and a warm coffee bean accord, which is an ingredient that has never been present in such quantity in a women's perfume. This contrast brings a feeling of sweet languor, bordering on ecstasy.
The perfume is delivered in a bottle designed as the final edition of the Opium collection. The bottle is dark and adorned with sequins, giving it a glam rock appearance. The face of the campaign for the perfume is British model Edie Campbell.
