Find the active corridors of the mole. Loosen the soil from the mounds and place 10-15 g (1/2 tablespoon) of the product in each corridor. Lightly cover the hole with soil, without destroying the corridor. By the action of soil moisture (or by slight Watering), carbide is released in the soil. Repeat the procedure daily until new moles stop appearing. After about 3 days, the number of new moles will visibly decrease. Terrains in which BROS-Carbide Mole Repellent has been applied may continue to be used.
When reacted with air humidity, the Calcium carbide granules are covered with a light brown to light grey layer of Calcium hydroxide. Calcium acetylide itself has no harmful effects on the human body, but when it comes into contact with wet skin it is converted to Calcium hydroxide, which has a mild corrosive effect, resulting in a loss of moisture and therefore drying of the skin, so it is not recommended to come into direct contact with Calcium acetylide.
