Mouse trap with plastic footplate and adjustment arm.
An attractant, usually something that is not normally found in the rodent's natural environment, is inserted into the hanger on the footplate; good results are also obtained with roasted almonds. The trap is gently snapped shut and placed on the ground. The trap is then set on the ground with the bait by squeezing the hanger. If necessary, the trap can be anchored with a loop to a suitable pad, e.g. a piece of board, etc.so that it remains motionless where it was set. It is recommended that all handling of the trap be done with gloves if possible to avoid human odour.
Trap sensitivity adjustment procedure:
Shock during laying could cause the open trap to snap at higher sensitivity. Therefore, it can be adjusted by holding it at the bottom and slightly bending the plastic strap downwards. This will increase its sensitivity. By slightly bending the strap upwards, the sensitivity is reduced, i.e. that when the trap is snapping we have to push up slightly and on the contrary when the trap is less sensitive we have to push down slightly.
