Thewood treatment is long-lasting to permanent, the product does not decompose in the wood. Blackstop is advantageous for preventive protection especially of wooden buildings incl. beams and trusses, floors, furniture, wooden tiles, but it is also effective for remedial treatment of wood already infested by woodworm. Wood treated with a cheMical product for the elimination of woodworm shall not be used for the manufacture of children's toys or utensils. Where the treated wood comes into contact with the skin, the treated wood must be covered with a coat of hard varnish.
The wormstop is usually applied by painting with a brush or spray gun, or by injecting the product, or by immersing the object in a bath of the product.
Preventive treatment against wood-boring insect infestation is recommended to be carried out with at least two applications so that a continuous effective protective film is formed, which guarantees reliable protection of the wood against wood-boring insects and fungal diseases or woodworm, even in the future. The treated wood is not altered in appearance, it can be further surface-treated using common procedures, i.e. staining, painting, varnishing or dyeing. Wood after application of Wormstop must be protected from moisture.
In the case of remediation of wood already infested with wormwood or fungal diseases, it is necessary to ensure perfect soaking of the Wormstop up to the depth of the inner layers of the wood. The injection of the product into pre-drilled holes in the beams can be used to increase the effectiveness of the treatment. Repeatedly treat infested areas with Wormstop at 1-month intervals
The effectiveness of Červostop can be increased by prior moistening of the treated surface with Water, wrapping the treated objects in PE-film.
It is preferable to work under such conditions that the paint dries slowly, i.e. at lower temperatures from +5 °C to +10 °C, at higher humidity (the wormwood is absorbed deeper into the wood).
DoSage:
- preventive treatment of wood with 1 litre of the product4 to 7m2
- treatment of infested wood with 1 litre of the product1.5 to 4m2
Storage:
Store and keep only in the original sealed container in a cool, well-ventilated place away from food, drink and feed. Store up to +30°C. Protect from frost.
Health and safety: the product is not classified as hazardous. Keep out of reach of children. Keep separate from food, drink and feed. Do not eat, drink or smoke during use. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, goggles or face shield. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately and show this container or label.
First aid: in case of exposure by inhalation: rinse the affected person's mouth with drinking Water, get him/her to fresh air as quickly as possible, sit or lay him/her down, provide him/her with rest and supervision. Give the affected person as much drinking Water or milk as possible. Never induce vomiting. In contact with skin: remove affected clothing from the affected person as soon as possible. Rinse the affected skin with plenty of cold Water for 10 min, then wash and rinse the affected skin for another min without mechanical irritation. 15 minutes with cold soapy Water. In case of eye contact: rinse eyes immediately with plenty of cold Water for at least 15 minutes if eyelids are forced open. Always arrange transport to a specialist medical centre. If ingested: rinse the mouth with drinking Water and give as much drinking Water or milk as possible. Never induce vomiting.Always arrange transport to a specialist medical centre.
Disposal of any residues and packaging:
Do not burn any residues of the product, do not pour into drains or soil. Pour them into about 5 times the amount of lime milk, then pour the mixture into a min. 30 cm deep holes in the ground. Do not burn the empty packaging, after rinsing with Water, hand it over for recycling through organised collection.
