Synthetic oil wood soaking stain
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining of soft and hardwood exposed to weather influences, as well as for indoor applications. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain penetrates deeply into the structure of the wood, enhancing its natural grain and thereby providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - transparent is intended for indoor use only!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, free of any resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be freed from all resin exudations beforehand, for example, by washing with nitro thinner BALTECH C6000. The quality of the wood pre-treatment depends on the overall appearance of the final surface treatment and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.
The wood surface intended for exterior use must first be soaked with a suitable fungicidal impregnator to protect the wood against mold, fungi, and insects, for example, using LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The wood surface intended for indoor use should first be soaked with the transparent stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. The penetration of the transparent impregnator ensures even absorbency of the substrate before the application of paints. Subsequently, it is necessary to sand the wood surface with fine sandpaper and only then apply the soaking stain. In renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of the old non-adherent layer, for example by sanding.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l per layer depending on the absorbency of the substrate
WORKING PROCEDURE:
It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing onto the prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already in application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly mix the staining varnish. For internal use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for exterior coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The transparent stain is intended for use indoors. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To evenly enhance the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the non-absorbed varnish with a dry brush or cloth 10 to 15 minutes after application. For cohesive areas, always use material from the same production batch. Using the same production batch ensures the same color shade. Type, surface, and previous wood coating affect the final shade of the coating; therefore, we recommend performing a test coat before final application. Claims for color shades will only be accepted if the claim is for the test area.
For high gloss, it is possible to recoat a dried coat applied with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or with the natural shade of the stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. Floors can be recoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, wood shavings, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be safely disposed of, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.
You may find covering materials useful, such as paper masking tape or covering film. Don't forget about brushes and rollers.
