Synthetic oil-based impregnation stain

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is designed for protective staining of soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions as well as for interior applications. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the structure of the wood, enhances its natural grain, providing highly effective coatings. It features very easy renewability of the old coat. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended only for indoor use!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cabins and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Before application, the substrate must be dry, clean, thoroughly sanded, with moisture up to a maximum of 12% and without traces of resin. For wood species with a higher resin content (pine, larch), all resinous spots must be removed in advance, for example by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The level of preparation of the wooden surface significantly affects the final appearance of the finish and the overall durability of the entire coating system.

Wooden substrates intended for outdoor environments should first be treated with an appropriate fungicidal impregnation agent, which protects the wood from wood-destroying insects, fungi, and mold – for example, the product LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. For indoor spaces, it is recommended to pre-treat the wood with the colorless LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. The penetrating colorless coating will unify the absorption of the substrate before applying further layers. After that, the surface should be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper, and only then should the impregnation stain be applied. In the case of renovation of old coatings, it is necessary to remove all non-adhering layers, for example, by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical yield: 8 - 10 m²/l per coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already in application viscosity. During work, the staining lacquer must be regularly mixed. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor applications, it is advisable to use three coats, but only in color shades. The colorless stain is intended for interior applications. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To evenly enhance the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off any non-absorbed lacquer after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

For continuous surfaces, always choose a product from the same production batch, which guarantees the same color tone. The final appearance of the shade is influenced by the type of wood, its surface, and any original coating; therefore, we recommend conducting a test on a sample before the actual application. Any color shade complaint can only be recognized based on a test coating.
If you require a high gloss, the dry coat of the stain can be finished with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 lacquer or with the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Wooden floors can be coated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.

When working, you will also appreciate covering tools, such as covering foil or paper adhesive tape. Don’t forget appropriate rollers and brushes.
