Synthetic oil impregnation stain
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining of soft and hard wood exposed to weather conditions as well as for indoor applications. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the wood structure, highlighting its natural grain, thus providing highly effective coatings. It features very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, and free of resin residues before application. Wood with high resin content (larch, pine) must be thoroughly cleaned of all resin exudates, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish as well as the overall lifespan of the coating system.
The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with an appropriate fungicidal impregnant, which ensures protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use should first be treated with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetration with colorless impregnating agent ensures even absorption of the substrate before further application of paint materials. The surface of the wood should then be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper before applying the impregnation stain. When renovating coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer, for example, by sanding.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l for one coat depending on substrate absorbency
WORKING PROCEDURE:
Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already at application viscosity. During the work, it is necessary to regularly stir the glazing lacquer. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor applications, it is advisable to use three coats, but only with colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for applications in interiors. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To evenly highlight the grain of the wood, it is advisable to wipe off the unabsorbed lacquer after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.Always use material from the same production batch for cohesive areas. When using the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating; therefore, we recommend conducting a test coat before the final application. Complaints about color shades will only be accepted if the complaint concerns the test area.
For a high gloss finish, it is possible to topcoat the dried finish applied with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of the LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be recoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR FOOT TRAFFIC VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be safely disposed of, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.
You may need covering materials such as paper masking tape or protective film. Don't forget about brushes and rollers.
