Synthetic oil-based penetrating stain
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Wood stain S1023 is designed for protective stain coatings on soft and hardwood exposed to weather influences, as well as for indoor applications. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. Contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates into the structure of the wood, enhances its natural grain, providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended only for interior use!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be cleared of all resin exudates beforehand, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final surface finish of the wood and the overall lifespan of the coating system.
The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal primer that ensures protection against mold, fungi, and insects, such as LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use should first be treated with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetrating with a colorless primer will ensure uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and only then should the penetrating stain be applied. In renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old incoherent layer, for example, by sanding.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l per coat depending on the substrate's absorbency
WORK PROCEDURE:
Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, as it is already in application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly mix the staining varnish. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for indoor applications. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly enhance the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe the non-absorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application with a dry brush or cloth.Always use material from the same production batch for cohesive areas. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color shade. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, so we recommend doing a test coat before the final application. Complaints about color shades will only be accepted if the complaint is about the test area.
For a high gloss, the dried coating made with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 can be topped with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or a natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be topped with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.
You may need covering material, such as paper masking tape or covering foil. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
