Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is intended for protective staining applications for soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions, as well as for interior coatings (garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages, and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It deeply penetrates the wood structure and enhances its texture. It provides long-lasting protection of wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are colorfast, easily renewable, and do not crack. Shade T000 - natural is for interior use only!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be free from all resin exudation, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the pre-treatment of wood affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall durability of the coating system.
The surface of wood intended for exterior use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal primer that protects the wood against mold, fungi, and insects, such as LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of wood intended for interior use should be first impregnated with a colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or the natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. The penetration with the colorless primer ensures even absorbency of the substrate for subsequent applications of coating materials. Subsequently, the wood surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper before applying the impregnation stain. When renovating, it is necessary to remove any old unsound layers, for example by sanding.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 13-15 m²/l for one layer depending on substrate absorbency
WORKING PROCEDURE:
Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to stir the stain regularly. For indoor use, apply in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for coatings in interiors. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly enhance the wood grain, it is recommended to wipe off the unabsorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes with a dry brush or cloth. For cohesive areas, always use material from the same production batch. When using the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coats of wood affect the final shade of the coating, thus we recommend conducting a test coat before final application. Complaints about color shades will only be accepted in case of a complaint on the test area.
For high gloss, the dried coat made with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be coated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be recoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be disposed of safely, as they can self-ignite under certain conditions.
Tinting: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
