Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is intended for protective glazing coatings for soft and hardwood, exposed to weather influences, as well as for coatings in interiors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It penetrates deeply into the structure of the wood and emphasizes its texture. It provides long-term protection of wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are colorfast, easily renewable, and do not crack. Shade T000 - natural is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, free of resin residues, before application. Wood with a high resin content (larix, pine) must be freed from all resin exudates, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood’s pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final surface finish and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal primer, which provides protection of the wood against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., using LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is suitable to first be treated with a clear stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or the natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. Penetration with a colorless primer ensures even absorbency of the substrate before applying the coatings. Subsequently, it is necessary to sand the surface of the wood with fine sandpaper and only then apply the impregnating stain. In the case of renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer of paint, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical yield: 13-15 m²/l per coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly mix the glazing varnish. For indoor use, apply in 1 to 2 layers, for outdoor coatings it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for applications in interiors. Individual coats can be applied in intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly highlight the grain of the wood, it is advisable to wipe off the non-absorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

For uniform areas, always use material from one production batch. When using the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coat of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, so we recommend performing a test coat before the final application. Claims for color shades will only be accepted in case of complaints about the test area.

For high gloss, the dried coating made with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of the stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALK-ON VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain conditions.

Toning: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
