Synthetic oil wood stain

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining of both soft and hard wood exposed to weather influences as well as for interior applications. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the structure of the wood, enhancing its natural grain and thus providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended only for indoor use!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudation, for example by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of pre-treatment of the wood affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface finish as well as the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal primer that provides protection against fungi, mold, and insects, e.g. with LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is best treated first with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetration with colorless primer ensures uniform absorption of the base before applying coating materials. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and only then is it necessary to apply the wood stain. In renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer, for example, by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l per coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply using a brush to the prepared substrate after thorough mixing. The product does not need to be diluted, it is supplied in application viscosity. During the painting process, regularly mix the staining varnish. For indoor use, apply 1 to 2 layers, while for outdoor coatings, three layers are recommended, specifically in color shades. The colorless variant is intended only for indoor spaces. Apply individual layers with an interval of 24 hours. To uniformly enhance the wood grain, it is recommended to wipe off the unabsorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application with a dry cloth or brush.

For uniform surfaces, paint exclusively with material from the same production batch, which guarantees a consistent color shade. The final tone is influenced by the type of wood, the condition of its surface, and previous coatings, therefore we recommend performing a test coat before starting the overall work. Claims for color shades can only be made based on the test area.
To achieve a high gloss, a dried coating made with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. For floors, LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALK-ON VARNISH S1020 can be applied.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be safely disposed of, as they can spontaneously ignite under certain conditions.

When working, you will also appreciate covering supplies, such as paper masking tape or covering foil. Don't forget to also acquire brushes and rollers.
