Synthetic oil-based impregnation stain
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining coatings of soft and hardwood, exposed to weather conditions, as well as for interior coatings. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the structure of the wood, enhances its natural grain and thus provides highly effective coatings. It features very easy renewability of the old coat. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended only for indoor use!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudates, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall longevity of the coating system.
The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnation that ensures protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., with LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is recommended to be treated first with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetrating with colorless impregnation will ensure uniform absorption of the substrate before applying further coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then apply the impregnation stain. In renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of the old non-adhering layer, e.g., by sanding.
DILUTION: diluent BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical yield: 8 - 10 m²/l per coat depending on the substrate's absorbency
WORKING PROCEDURE:
Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on a pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already in application viscosity. During work, it is essential to regularly mix the staining lacquer. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers, for outdoor coatings it is advisable to use three layers, but only with colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coatings can be applied in intervals of 24 hours. To evenly enhance the wood grain, it is recommended to wipe off the unabsorbed lacquer using a dry brush or cloth 10 to 15 minutes after application. For contiguous areas, always use material from the same production batch. When using the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final color shade, so we recommend performing a test coat before final application. Claims regarding color shades will be accepted only with a complaint about the test area.
For high gloss, a dried coat made with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 can be coated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or a natural shade of the LAZUROL GOLD stain S1037. Floors can be coated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be safely disposed of, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.
You might find covering materials such as paper adhesive tape or masking film helpful. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
