Synthetic oil impregnation stain
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Wood stain S1023 is designed for protective staining coatings for soft and hardwood, exposed to weather conditions and for indoor coatings. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the structure of the wood, enhances its natural grain, providing high-effect coatings. It features very easy renewability of the old coat. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended only for indoor use!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall cladding and ceilings, fences, cabins and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, wood floor priming.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be thoroughly cleaned of all resin exudates, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final surface finish of the wood and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.
The surface of the wood intended for the exterior must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnating agent that provides protection against mold, fungi, and insects, such as LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use should preferably be treated first with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. The penetration with a colorless impregnating agent ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before applying coating materials. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and then the impregnation stain can be applied. In renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of the old non-adherent layer, e.g., by sanding.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l for one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Apply with a brush after thorough mixing onto the prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, the staining lacquer must be regularly mixed. For indoor use, apply in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only with colored shades. Colorless stain is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. For uniform enhancement of the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off any unabsorbed lacquer after 10 to 15 minutes from application using a dry brush or cloth.
Always use material from the same production batch for cohesive surfaces. Using the same production batch ensures the same color shade. The type, surface, and previous wood coating affect the resulting shade of the coating, so it is recommended to perform a test coating before the final application. Complaints about color shades will only be recognized if the claim is made for the test area.
For high gloss, the dried coat made with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or with the natural shade of stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be securely disposed of, as they may spontaneously ignite under certain conditions.
You may need covering materials, such as paper masking tape or protective film. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
