Lazurol S1080 terrace oil is designed for protective coatings of all types of wood, including tropical hardwoods, exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The product is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood including tropical hardwoods, exposed to weather conditions as well as for coatings in interiors, e.g. terraces, cladding, garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, cottages, and wooden houses.

It protects wood long-term against moisture and UV radiation. It limits swelling and staining of the wood, allowing it to breathe. It contains natural oils. It contains deodorized gasoline. It has excellent penetrating ability, enhances the natural grain of the wood, and provides highly effective silky-matte coatings. It is characterized by very easy refurbishing of the old coating. The product has slip resistance certification in dry and wet conditions.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture of 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with an increased resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudate, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and the overall lifespan of the coating system.

If protection against decay and insects is required, the surface of the wood must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnation that ensures protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., with the LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033 product. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then can the terrace oil be applied. In renovation coatings, wood must be stripped of old coatings, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: diluent BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical yield: up to 20 m²/l depending on the substrate absorbency. Grooved or coarsely cut wood requires more paint due to the surface character.

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply after thorough mixing to the prepared substrate. The oil does not need to be diluted; it is ready to use directly. During work, the terrace oil should be regularly mixed. It is advisable to apply two to three coats of terrace oil in thin layers so that no excess oil remains on the surface. The surface can be sanded with fine sandpaper between individual coats. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours.
When using shade 0023 teak, always use material from the same production batch for complete surfaces. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color shade.

Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with oil must be safely disposed of, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.
