Lazurol S1080 terrace oil teak, 2.5 l

Lazurol S1080 terrace oil is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood, including tropical woods, exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The product is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood including tropical woods, exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors, e.g. terraces, cladding, garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, cabins, and wooden houses.

It protects wood long-term against the effects of moisture and UV radiation. It reduces swelling and staining of wood, allowing it to breathe. It contains natural oils. It contains de-aromatized gasoline. It has excellent penetrating ability, enhances the natural grain of the wood, and provides highly effective silky matte finishes. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. The product has slip resistance certification for both dry and wet conditions.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free of resin residues prior to application. Wood with a higher resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudates, e.g. by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final surface finish of the wood and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

If protection against rot and insects is required, the surface of the wood must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal primer that ensures protection of the wood against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g. with LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then apply the terrace oil. When re-coating, it is necessary to remove old coatings, e.g. by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: up to 20 m²/l depending on the absorbency of the substrate. Grooved or rough-sawn woods require a larger quantity of coating due to the nature of the surface.

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply after thorough mixing to the pre-prepared substrate. The oil does not need to be diluted, it is ready to use. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the terrace oil. It is advisable to apply two to three layers of terrace oil in thin coats so that no excess oil remains on the surface. The surface can be lightly sanded between individual coats. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours.
For shade 0023 teak, always use material from the same production batch on complete areas. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color shade.

Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked in oil must be safely disposed of, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.
