Thin-layer wood stain Lazurol Topdecor S1035 serves for protective staining coatings of hard and soft woods exposed to weather conditions and for indoor applications (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It penetrates deeply into the wood structure and enhances its grain. It provides long-term protection of wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings do not crack, are colorfast, and are easy to renew. Shade T000 -natural is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Before application, the wood must be dry, clean, thoroughly sanded, free of resin residues, and with a maximum moisture of 12%. For wood with a higher resin content (pine, larch), all resin exudate must be removed in advance, for example by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The care taken in pre-treating the wood affects both the final appearance of the finishing coat and the overall longevity of the coating system.

The wooden surface in the exterior must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnation that protects the wood from fungi, mold, and wood-destroying insects, such as LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. For interior wood, it is recommended to initially soak in the colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. Impregnating with a colorless agent will equalize the absorbency of the substrate before applying additional layers. After that, the surface of the wood should be gently sanded with sandpaper and only then should the impregnating stain be applied. In cases of renovating older coatings, it is necessary to remove any original non-adhering layers, for example by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical yield: 13-15 m²/l for one layer depending on the absorbency of the substrate

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing on the prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, the staining lacquer must be regularly mixed. For interior use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for interior applications. Individual coatings can be applied in intervals of 24 hours. For uniformly enhancing the wood's grain, it is advisable to wipe off the non-absorbed lacquer with a dry brush or cloth after 10 to 15 minutes of application.

For cohesive surfaces, always choose a product from the same production batch to ensure consistent color shade. The type of wood, its surface, and any previous finish affect the final shade of the coating; therefore, we recommend doing a test coat before the overall application. Any complaints about color shades will only be accepted based on the assessment of the test area.

To achieve a high gloss, the dried coating applied with the LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 stain can be coated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. For floors, LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALK-ON VARNISH S1020 can be applied.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.

Tinting: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
