Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain T020 chestnut, 2.5 l

Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is intended for protective staining of soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It penetrates deeply into the wood structure and highlights its texture. Provides long-lasting protection of wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are color-stable, easily renewable, and do not crack. Shade T000 -natural is intended for indoor use only!!

Usage examples: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be fully stripped of any resin exudates, e.g. by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pretreatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of wood intended for outdoor use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal primer that protects the wood from mold, fungi, and insect attacks, e.g. with LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of wood intended for indoor use is preferably pre-treated with a colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or the natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. Penetration with a colorless primer ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before the next application of coatings. Subsequently, it is necessary to sand the surface of the wood with fine sandpaper and only then apply the impregnating stain. In renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove old non-adhering layers of paint, for example, by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 13-15 m²/l for one coat depending on substrate absorbency

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the staining lacquer. For indoor use, apply in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three coats, but only with colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for indoor applications. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To evenly enhance the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the unwetted lacquer after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

When working on cohesive surfaces, always use material from the same production batch. If the same production batch is used, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, therefore we recommend performing a test coat before the final application. Complaints regarding color shades will only be acknowledged if based on the test area.

For high gloss, the dried coat made with Lazurol TOPDECOR S1035 can be topped with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or a natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be topped with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.

Toning: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
