Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is intended for protective staining of soft and hard wood exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It penetrates deeply into the wood structure and emphasizes its grain. It provides long-term protection for wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are color-stable, easily renewable, and do not crack. Shade T000 -natural is intended for interior use only!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free of resin residues before application. Wood with an elevated resin content (larch, pine) must be thoroughly stripped of all resin exudates, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and the overall durability of the coating system.
The surface of the wood intended for exterior use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal primer that provides protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for interior use should first be treated with a clear stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or the natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. Penetration with a clear primer ensures uniform absorption of the substrate before further application of coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood needs to be sanded with fine sandpaper and then the impregnating stain can be applied. In renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of old non-adherent layers, for example, by sanding.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 13-15 m²/l for one layer depending on substrate absorbency
WORKING PROCEDURE:
Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted as it is already in the application viscosity. During work, the staining lacquer must be regularly stirred. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers, while for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The clear stain is intended for interior coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly enhance the wood grain, any excess varnish should be wiped off with a dry brush or cloth after 10 to 15 minutes of application.
For cohesive surfaces, always use material from the same production batch. When using the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, therefore we recommend performing a test coating before final application. Complaints about color shades will only be recognized when a complaint is made about the test area.
For high gloss, the dry coating made with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be topped with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of the stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. Floors can be repainted with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain conditions.
Tinting: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
