A modern impregnating coating with decorative properties. It acts as an effective deep-penetrating wood preservative and at the same time as a top protective coating in ten color shades. It contains very fine transparent pigments that give the wood the desired shade while enhancing its natural texture. Along with other functional additives, it effectively resists all weather influences, including UV radiation. The coating does not seal the wood, allowing it to regulate moisture, it does not crack or peel. After complete drying, it is completely odorless. The coating film is treated with biocidal substances against attacks from moss, fungi, algae, and molds. The colorless shade does not provide sufficient protection against UV radiation when used outdoors alone. It is used as an impregnating preservative under color shades or as an additional coat that protects previous layers and extends their lifespan.
Renewal is performed every 3 to 6 years, depending on local conditions, by simply reapplying, without the need to remove the old coating. Karbolineum Extra is a product with a long-standing tradition. Due to its unique properties, this coating has become the most commonly used preparation for painting historical buildings, shingle roofs, wooden facades, log cabins, and last but not least, monuments of folk architecture. Karbolineum Extra is a product subject to regular certification oversight. A Construction Technical Certificate No. STO-AO 224-500/2012/a has been issued for it. Its effectiveness and protective properties are regularly checked by the Institute for Testing and Certification, a.s., Zlín (Authorized Person No. 224).
Usage:
building wooden structures outdoors and indoors, wooden facades, shingle roofs, cottages, chalets, cladding, pergolas, gazebos, carports, fences, windows, shutters, and others.
Substrate preparation and application method:
Before use, mix the product thoroughly, or shake if necessary. The wood to be painted must be dry (relative humidity max. 15%), free from old coatings and other mechanical and vegetative impurities, including resin exudates. It is applied with a brush, roller, spray gun, or by dipping in one or more layers. Application of another layer only after the previous one has absorbed. The coat should penetrate completely into the wood before drying, to avoid shiny spots. Drying time - usually up to 24 hours - depends on temperature and air flow, humidity, and absorptiveness of the substrate. On smooth and less absorbent wood, this time may be longer. The resulting shade may vary depending on the type of wood being painted. It is recommended to carry out a test coat on a smaller area.
Dilution:
It is not diluted. Thinner S6005 or S6006 for cleaning tools.
Consumption:
It is recommended to apply a minimum of 150 g/m2 (6.7m2 from 1 kg) to ensure sufficient protection efficiency.
