Farmhouse paint - A covering paint based on modified varnish with oil in water. Extremely penetrating water-soluble covering paint for wood designed for hobby and professional use in outdoor and indoor environments. Significantly enhances the wood and perfectly depicts the texture of the wood. Creates a velvety, pleasantly touchable semi-gloss surface that strongly repels water. Oils provide the paint with excellent penetrating properties while creating a fine, highly pigmented film on the surface that preserves the wood grain. It is applied directly to raw wood.
The paint contains a combination of UV filters that prevent degradation of the coating. The surface of the paint film is resistant to mold and fungi attacks, thus preventing their penetration into the wood. Prevents water from penetrating into the wood, reduces its shrinkage and cracking. Perfect substrate penetration prevents peeling of the coating. Linseed oil, combined with other vegetable oils, extends the drying time of the surface. The paint is odorless and has a neutral character. The paint is certified for toys and products for children.

Drying:
dust dry in 8 to 6 hours, between coats 1 day.
Application:
Socrates farmhouse paint is applied evenly to a healthy, clean, dry and sanded surface No. 80 – No. 100, with a brush or microfiber roller in an appropriate layer, which, especially during the first coat, absorbs perfectly without wiping the paint. A reasonable amount of paint must always remain on the surface to be absorbed. Excess, unabsorbed paint, should be gradually removed without creating significant puddles! However, the layer of paint must not be wiped and MUST always remain at a reasonable thickness. Additional coats can be applied after the first layer has dried, which is approximately after 24 hours. Light sanding with sandpaper No. 100 – 120 can be done between coats as needed. Lightly sanding the first coat, pulling the fibers will give you a perfectly smooth, pleasant surface.
In outdoor and humid environments, where there is a risk of wood being attacked by wood-destroying fungi, it is necessary to pre-treat the substrate with the biocidal product Lignofix E-profi. A minimum of 48 hours must elapse between impregnating wood with Lignofix E-profi and applying the paint.
You may find covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering film, optionally sanding papers. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
