Farmhouse paint - Covering paint based on modified varnish with oil in water. Extremely penetrating water-soluble covering paint for wood intended for hobby and professional use in outdoor and indoor environments. Significantly beautifies wood and perfectly highlights the texture of the wood. Creates a velvet, pleasantly tactile semi-gloss surface that strongly repels water. Oils provide the paint with excellent penetrating properties while creating a fine, highly pigmented film on the surface that preserves the wood's grain. It is applied directly to raw wood.
The paint contains a combination of UV filters that prevent the degradation of the coating. The coating surface is resistant to mold and fungus attacks, thus preventing their penetration into the wood. Prevents water from penetrating the wood, reducing its drying and cracking. Perfect substrate penetration prevents paint peeling. Linseed oil, combined with other plant oils, extends the drying time of the surface. The paint is odorless and neutral in nature. The paint is certified for toys and products for children.

Drying:
dust dry in 8 to 6 hours, between coats 1 day.
Application:
Socrates Farmhouse Paint is applied evenly to a healthy, clean, dry, and sanded surface no. 80 – no. 100, using a brush or microfiber roller in an appropriate layer, which particularly during the first coat soaks in perfectly without wiping the paint. A reasonable amount of paint must always remain on the surface to be absorbed. Any excess, unabsorbed paint should be gradually removed without creating significant puddles! However, the paint layer must not be wiped and MUST always remain in an appropriate layer. The next coat is applied after the first layer has dried, which is approximately after 24 hours. Between coats, light sanding with sandpaper no. 100 – 120 can be performed as needed. Lightly sanding the first coat, pulling off the fuzz will give you a perfectly smooth, pleasant surface.
In the exterior and in a humid environment where wood-destroying fungi may pose a threat, it is necessary to treat the substrate beforehand with the biocidal product Lignofix E-profi. There must be a minimum of 48 hours between the impregnation of wood with Lignofix E-profi and the application of the coating material.
You may find covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, or sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes and rollers.
