Farmhouse paint - Covering paint based on modified varnish with water-soluble oil. Extremely penetrating water-dilutable covering paint for wood designed for hobby and professional use in outdoor and indoor environments. Significantly beautifies wood and perfectly highlights the wood texture. Creates a velvety, pleasantly touchable satin surface that strongly repels water. Oils give the paint excellent penetrating properties while creating a fine, highly pigmented film on the surface that preserves the wood grain. It is applied directly to raw wood.
The paint contains a combination of UV filters, which prevent degradation of the coating. The surface of the coating film is resistant to mold and fungi attacks, thus preventing their penetration into the wood. Prevents water from penetrating into the wood, reduces its drying out and cracking. Perfect penetration of the substrate prevents the coating from peeling. Linseed oil, combined with other plant oils, extends the drying time of the surface. The paint is odorless and has a neutral character. The paint is certified for toys and products for children.

Drying:
dust dry 8 to 6 hours, between coats 1 day.
Application:
Sokrates farmhouse paint should be applied evenly to healthy, clean, dry and sanded surface No. 80 – No. 100, using a brush or a microfiber roller in an appropriate layer, which particularly during the first coat absorbs perfectly and without wiping the paint. There must always be an appropriate amount of paint on the surface that will absorb. Gradually remove any excess, unabsorbed paint without forming significant puddles! However, the layer of paint should not be wiped and MUST always remain in an appropriate thickness. The next coat is applied after the first layer has dried, which is approximately after 24 hours. Light sanding with sandpaper No. 100 – 120 can be performed between coats as needed. Lightly sanding the first coat, removing any fuzz, provides a perfectly smooth, pleasant surface.
In outdoor and humid environments, where there may be a risk of wood becoming infested with wood-destroying fungi, it is necessary to treat the substrate in advance with the biocide Lignofix E-profi. A minimum period of 48 hours must be observed between saturating the wood with Lignofix E-profi and applying the paint.
You may find covering material, such as paper tape or covering foil, or possibly sanding papers. Don’t forget about brushes and rollers.
