DENAS UNIVERSAL MAT is a water-dilutable top coat for coatings of construction elements and structures made of wood, metal, fresh galvanized sheet, as well as galvanized roof templates, aluminum, some types of plastics, laminate, ceramic tiles with the addition of silane, gypsum board. It meets the surface treatment standards for products and toys for children from 0-3 years (ČSN EN 71, part 3) and is suitable for contact with food. The coatings have excellent resistance, do not chalk, nor become brittle due to the effects of UV radiation and weather, and are resistant to household cleaning agents. Painted surfaces are extremely mechanically resistant and show long durability in both indoor and outdoor environments.

The product is safe under the specified conditions of use and meets hygiene requirements for toys and products for children up to 3 years of age (according to EN 71, part 3), Government Regulation No. 86/2011 Coll., Annex No. 2, III. Chemical substances, point 12 and also meets hygiene requirements for products intended for contact with food and drinking water, as stipulated by Decree No. 38/2001 Coll., in its valid form for the white base. DENAS COLOR a.s. has taken measures to ensure the conformity of the product placed on the market with the technical documentation and the basic requirements. It does not guarantee the validity of the certificates when tinted outside the manufacturer's premises.
Application procedure:
The substrate must be dry, free of dirt, loose layers of older coatings, and grease. New metal surfaces should be protected with 1–2 layers of anti-corrosive primer DENAS FOR METAL-PRIMER or DENAS FOR METALS 2IN1, then apply the top coat DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1–2 layers. Wooden substrates should first be unified with DENAS FOR WOOD-PRIMER or diluted DENAS UNIVERSAL paint in a 1:1 ratio with water, and this should be in 1–2 layers depending on the absorbency of the wood. Then perform the top coat with undiluted paint in 1–2 layers. For exterior wood, it is recommended to protect it to depth with a suitable impregnation with biocidal effects. For mineral substrates, apply a primer in 1–2 layers and then the top coat DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1–2 layers. The minimum temperature during application and drying of the coating is +10 °C and air humidity up to 70 %.

Safety and hygiene of paint for wood and metal:
Under normal use, there are no situations where immediate medical assistance would be necessary. Recommendation: Follow the principles of personal hygiene while working. Ensure ventilation of the workplace. When spraying, use respiratory protection. In case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of water.
Waste disposal:
Dispose of leftover paint and contaminated packaging as hazardous waste in accordance with the applicable regulations. The product retains its useful properties in the original unopened packaging for at least until the date indicated on the lid.
