UNIBAL O2025 linseed oil paint for wood and metal self-priming, 8440 red-brown, 1 kg

The linseed oil paint is designed as a base and primer for wood and metals for both indoor and outdoor environments. As a top coat for wood and metal, the UNIBAL O2025 paint is intended only for interior use.

CHARACTERIZATION AND USE:

This is a traditional natural coating for wood and metal, suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. As a top coat for wood and metal, it is recommended to use UNIBAL O2025 paint primarily indoors, as exposure to the weather can lead to loss of gloss and yellowing of the coating.

It has very good spreadability and high elasticity.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, and free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be completely cleaned of all resin exudations, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and the overall lifespan of the coating system.

Metal substrate must be clean, dry, and free from grease, rust, and dust, mechanically cleaned. Absorbent substrates must be further impregnated with an appropriate impregnating agent and possibly coated with a suitable primer. Metal substrates must be treated with a suitable anti-corrosive primer.

DILUTION: BALTECH S6006

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/ kg per one coat (40 – 60 µm)

WORK PROCEDURE:

Before use, thoroughly mix the contents and dilute if necessary. Apply with a brush or roller on the pre-prepared substrate.
Wood coating:
1. 1 coat with UNIBAL FERMEŽ NAPOUŠTĚCÍ O1000 oil impregnator. After about 20 minutes, excess linseed oil must be wiped off to ensure no glossy coating remains on the surface.
2. After 48 hours of drying, sand the surface with sandpaper.
3. 1 to 2 coats with UNIBAL BARVA FERMEŽOVÁ O2025 primer paint (application interval 48 h/23 °C).
4. 1 to 2 coats with top enamel INDUSTROL UNIVERZÁL S2013 or LAZUROL OKNOBAL EMAIL U2015 (application interval 24 h/23 °C).

Metal coating:
1. 1 coat with PRAGOPRIMER STANDARD S2000 or FORMEX ZÁKLAD NA POZINK S2003 primer paint.
2. After 24 hours of drying, perform local filling with putty, for example, BKP RAPID, and sand the filled area with sandpaper.
3. 2 to 3 coats with UNIBAL BARVA FERMEŽOVÁ O2025 primer paint (application interval 48 h/23 °C).
