Synthetic oil wood stain

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining coatings of soft and hardwoods exposed to weather conditions as well as for coatings indoors. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain penetrates deeply into the structure of the wood, highlighting its natural grain and thus providing highly effective coatings. It features very easy renewability of the old coat. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, and free from resin residues prior to application. Wood with high resin content (larch, pine) must be freed from all resin exudation in advance, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface finish and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal primer that protects the wood from fungus, mold, and insect infestation, e.g., LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use should first be treated with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetration with colorless primer ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of the coating materials. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then should the wood stain be applied. In renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer of paint, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: solvent BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical yield: 8 - 10 m²/l per one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing on the prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at the application viscosity. During work, the varnish should be regularly stirred. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers, for outdoor coatings it is recommended to use three layers, but only in colored shades. Colorless stain is intended for interior coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To evenly highlight the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe any unabsorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

Always use material from the same production batch for cohesive areas. The same shade is guaranteed with the use of the same production batch. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final color of the coating, so we recommend conducting a test coating before the final application. Complaints regarding color shades will only be accepted if the test area is claimed.
For high gloss, the dried coating made with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR FOOT TRAFFIC VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked in stain must be disposed of safely, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.

You may find cover materials, such as paper masking tape or cover film useful. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
