Lazurol S1080 terrace oil teak, 750 ml

Lazurol S1080 terrace oil is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood, including tropical woods, exposed to weather effects as well as for coatings in interiors.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The product is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood including tropical woods, exposed to weather effects as well as for coatings in interiors, e.g. terraces, cladding, garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, cabins, and wooden houses.

It protects wood long-term against the effects of moisture and UV radiation. It limits swelling and staining of wood, allowing wood to breathe. It contains natural oils. It contains dearomatized gasoline. It has excellent penetrating capabilities, enhances the natural grain of the wood, and provides highly effective silk-matte coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. The product has a slip resistance certification for both dry and wet conditions.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with increased resin content (larch, pine) must be thoroughly stripped of all resin exudations, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 nitro thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface treatment and also the overall durability of the coating system.

If protection against rot and insects is required, the wood surface must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal primer, which provides protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., with LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. Subsequently, the wood surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and only then should the terrace oil be applied. In renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove old coatings from the wood, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical yield: up to 20 m²/l depending on the absorbency of the substrate. Grooved or rough-cut woods require a larger amount of coating due to the character of the surface.

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Applied after thorough mixing on a pre-prepared substrate. The oil does not need to be diluted and is ready for immediate use. During application, the terrace oil must be stirred regularly. It is advisable to apply two to three thin layers of terrace oil in such a way that no excess oil remains on the surface. The surface can be sanded between individual coats with fine sandpaper. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours.
For shade 0023 teak, always use material from the same production batch only on cohesive areas. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color shade.

Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc. materials) saturated with oil must be safely disposed of, as they may ignite spontaneously under certain circumstances.
