Lazurol s1080 terrace oil teak, 750 ml

Lazurol S1080 terrace oil is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood, including tropical woods, exposed to weather conditions as well as for coatings in interiors.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The product is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood including tropical woods, exposed to weather conditions as well as for coatings in interiors, e.g. terraces, cladding, garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, cottages, and wooden houses.

It provides long-term protection for wood against the effects of moisture and UV radiation. It limits swelling and soiling of the wood, allowing the wood to breathe. It contains natural oils. It contains de-aromatized gasoline. It has excellent penetration capabilities, enhances the natural grain of the wood, and provides highly effective silky-matte coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coat. The product has a slip resistance certification in dry and wet conditions.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, and free of resin residues prior to application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be thoroughly cleared of any resin exudates, e.g. by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finishing and also the overall durability of the coating system.

If protection against rot and insects is required, the surface of the wood must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal primer that ensures protection against fungi, mold, and insects, e.g., with LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. Subsequently, the wood surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then should the terrace oil be applied. For renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of old coatings, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: up to 20 m²/l depending on the absorption of the substrate. Grooved or coarsely cut woods require a larger amount of coating due to the nature of the surface.

WORK PROCEDURE:

Apply after thorough mixing on the previously prepared substrate. The oil does not need to be diluted, it is ready for use. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the terrace oil. It is advisable to apply two to three layers of terrace oil in thin coats so that no excess oil remains on the surface. The surface can be sanded between individual coats with fine sandpaper. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours.
For shade 0023 teak, always use material from the same batch for solid areas. Using the same batch guarantees the same color shade.

Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with oil must be disposed of safely, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.
